About Listserv E-mail list
1. Subscription procedure
To join the list simply send an e-mail note to email@example.com with one line of text in the body of the note as follows:
To subscribe to the Eurovet list a person named "John Hopkins" would e-mail a note to with one line in the body of the note saying:
- SUBSCRIBE [Eurovet] [firstname & lastname]
A few seconds after Listserv has received your subscription request, it will e-mail you a confirmation of your subscription.
- SUBSCRIBE Eurovet John Hopkins
The case for the 'subscribe' command and the list name does not matter, but it DOES matter for your own, personal name (as in the example above).
One should leave the "Subject" line of your e-mail note vacant when the note is being sent to 'Listserv'; commands should be on separate text lines in the body of your e-mail note.
You may also add other identifying information after your name, as in the examples below.
2. How to Unsubscribe From a List
- subscribe Eurovet Marisa Mirelli, ERASMUS student, Italy (or)
- subscribe Eurovet Pekka Pekkanen, MBA Program, TUT
- Note the comma between your name and your identity detail
To unsubscribe from a list, send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org with the syntax SIGNOFF Eurovet.
You do not need to give your name for an unsubscribe command, only the list you want to unsubscribe from.
Several seconds later you will receive from Listserv a confirmation note of your removal from the list.
