The Miraflores school is situated in the city of Alcobendas, near the capital of Madrid. The social background form the pupuls irs mediom/low but it is not considered to belong to a disadvantaged area. Some of the pupils have special needs, i.e. learning difficulties, migrants, but there is a special orientacion department who work with these skis and a helper teacher for these pupils.
The school is one of the medium-sized schools ,pupils also have to take into account the proximity of our school to the refugee reception centre, which receives children from many different nationalities, cultures, religions and ethnic.
With the participation of our institutions to this project we hope many advantages. First of all for our children, who will be the first with profits such as learning aspects of different cultures and countries from a socio-cultural point of view, giving them opportunities to practice foreing languages in a real situation and, on the other hand, for all the institutions involve, which will acquire valuable experience in working collaboratively and in a multicultural project work. They will become a good example to the other institutions of the area.
