This sign lies on the wall of the old school building containing the text:
"Huttukylä school is the second oldest school in Kiiminki municipality. The building was dedicated to school purpose in 1913. It was built near a famous place where tar had been distilled from wood for decades. Logs for the building were dismantled from a private house by the sawmill of Koiteli.
The school is remarkable in the provincial history of civilization."
Huttukylä school works in two buildings. The newer one was constructed in the 1990´s.
