We are a small village school in Alakylä, a small village in the municipality of Kiiminki, North Finland. There are 170 pupils and 13 teachers in our school; 9 class teachers, 2 special education teachers, 1 language teacher and our head, Mr. Vesa Rinta-Säntti.
We have three separate buildings and the one in the picture above is the oldest part of our school, the first school of Alakylä. The school was originally named after the founder of our school, Hugo Aleksanteri Nikki (Nikki's school). In the second building you can find our sports hall (gym) and classrooms for technical and textile work. The newest part of our school has 8 classrooms, school's canteen and teachers' lounge. There are two separate classrooms for special education teaching in our school.
