Vox Aurea Children´s Choir has made many tours all around the world. In the 1970´s and 1980´s under the direction of conductors Torsten Lindfors and Kari Ala-Pöllänen the choir participated in numerous national and international choir competitions and festivals.
Competitions and festivals starting from 1992:
• In 1992 a tour in Soul (ISME), Korea, and in Japan
• In 1993 Finnish Broadcasting Company elected Vox Aurea Youth Choir of the Year
• In 1993 Tolosa Choir Festival, third prize in the Children´s Music and special price of the Basque Audience
• In 1995 three medals (two first and one second) in the Golden Gate Festival in San Francisco, USA
• In 1996 several concerts in Stockholm
• In 1997 a two-week tour in Germany (Christmas music)
• In 1998 Freedom Festival in Stockholm
• In 1999 the choir was organizing the International Children´s Choir Festival in Jyväskylä
• In 2000 a 3-week tour in Canada and as an invited performer in Kathaumixw Festival in Powell River and also in the International ISME Congress in Edmonton
• In 2001 the Girls´ Choir Festival in Riga, Latvia
• In 2003 the 5th Rhodes International Music Festival, the Grand Prix, 1st prize in the Children´s Music and a special price in Folk Music
• In 2003 Tampere Vocal Music Festival, 3 golden stamps in the Chorus Review
• In 2004 the 36th Tolosa Choral Contest in Spain, third prize in the Children´s Music
• In 2005 Tampere Vocal Music Festival, an invited performer
• In 2006 a tour in Kagoshima, Satsumasendai and Tokyo, Japan
• In 2007 Tampere Vocal Music Festival, two golden stamps
• In 2008 Vaasa XVI Choir Festival, an invited performer
• In 2009 the 8th Golden Gate International Children's and Youth Choral Festival from July 13-18, the featured guest artists
