From the 27th to the 30th of October took place the meeting at La Dehesilla Secondary School in Cercedilla, Madrid.
Five pupils and two teachers from the Stredni Lesnicka Skola in Sluvnok and five students and three teachers from Palokkan Koulu in Palokka have been with us sharing these busy days, full of activities and fun.
Among these activities, we’d like to point out the “Silver Birch Ceremony” when we planted one of this trees in the garden of our school as the symbol of the pedagogical brotherhood we are growing through Comenius Project work. We also attended the “premier” of a new version of Beatles song “With a little help from my friends”, performed by some of our students and teachers. There have also been visits to our classes ,and both guest students and ours have been able to participate in these classes and share knowledge and experiences ( Theatre, Maths,Computers, Botanic and English) . The students have been to some houses , sharing daily life and getting to know customs in Spain.
Cercedilla Local Authorities have participated inviting us to some meals and honoured our friends with some presents to Palokka and Sluvnok School.
In our working sessions , we have decided to finish the (Climate) definitions before the next meeting in Sluvnok. Further more, we’d like to go on taking photos from our surroundings and our silver birches every month . We also want to continue adding words to our colloquial expressions list. And finally, we want to keep on working in our different departments at school.
The evaluation of this meeting has been very positive in every aspect ( like at the previous ones)

This spring we, Finns, had the pleasure of arranging a meeting with our Czech and Spanish friends. There were 18 visitors altogether, three teachers and six students from both countries. The idea of the visit was to become familiar with the Finnish way of life, to experience a real winter here up north, to get to know some of our local businesses and factories, culture and art.
The guests were accomodated in Laajari which is located by a slope and offers excellent winter sports facilities. During the week the visitors were acquainted with our school and various lessons, visited our students' homes, bathed in sauna, prepared food in Home Economics and a special item in textile- and woodwork, did some cross-country skiing, had a guided tour around the city, visited a pulp factory, even drove a tractor while visiting a tractor factory. We even had time for some chat about our project, and how to take things further.
Experiencing Finnish nature and snow seemed to attract our guests the most, not to forget new friendships established between the students and teachers. Our students are dying to visit Spain and Czech Republic during the next school year. We all had a great time together and we're looking forward to meeting again!

Our Comenius-project first meeting was in Sluknov, Stredni lesnicka skola (SECONDARY FORESTRY SCHOOL) during 30.10.-3.11.2005.
We decided together:
¤ start the project next year 2007
¤ "Nature without borders"
¤ next project meeting in IES La Dehesilla (Spain),then in Palokka school (Finland) and finally in Stredni lesnicka skola (SECONDARY FORESTRY SCHOOL) (Czech)

Our second meeting in Spain,IES La Dehesilla school during 23.-28.10.2006. We planned to continue project:
¤ maintain our web-sites
¤ scenery -picture twice a month
¤ pictures of Betula pendula (white birch)
¤ vocabulary of typical nature words (weather, trees, water, animals and human body) during the first year
¤ pictures and an introduction of each school

Comenius -meeting in Finland was during 18.-23.2.2008.
From Czech was there 9 persons (3 teacher and 6 students) and from Spain too 9 persons ( 3 teacher and 6 students).
