SECONDARY FORESTRY SCHOOL in SLUKNOV.
Forestry education in Sluknov was starting in 1954.
Students can study 3 lines:
The line of "forestry" qualifies the graduates for the professions of district forest officers, foresters, foremen, and other independent and executive positions in forestry.
The line of "lyceum of nature science" prepares for study on university and professional workers and officials of state and local administration in the fields of environmental protection, forestry, agriculture, industry - with corresponding orientation.
The line of "game management" prepares independent and managing professional workers in hunting, game keeping and breeding as well as entrepreneurs in the mentioned line. All of the tree lines are inter-connected through the arrangement of teaching subjects, and respond currently to the employer´s requirements by charging both the contents of education and the methods used. An important part of the preparation of foresters, game keepers and ecologists is the students professional practice in forest administration offices, forest stock companies, state administration, National Parks, hunting districts and game-keeping facilities.
