Wolverine is a dark brown marten-animal. It´s body is about 90 cm long, and the tail is 15-25 cm. Wolverines live in taiga (for example eastern and northern parts of Finland). Wolverines live in wilderness.
Wolverines hunt usually at night. They are still seen at daytime,too.
they eat small mammals, birds, insects, berries and carcassies. Wolverines eat also reindeer, and that´s why people like to hunt them. Before year 1982 almost all of them were hunted. There were about 10 wolverines, but after year 1982 wolverine-hunting was not allowed, so now there are about 100 wolverines.
Wolverines make juveniles in February or in March. They have usually 2-3 juveniles and they are blind. Juvenile´s weight is usually about 100 g.
Their eyes are opened usually while they are 4 weeks old. They born in holes underground, and 1 month old juvenile comes out from the hole.
