The Project will take place between schools which have enjoyed a partnership for the past four years, and worked together on the Comenius project’ Das Haus – unsere Wohn-und Lebenswelt’ (2005–2008). Our planned partnership for the coming project will include teaching staff, the senior management team, parents, governors and students from each institution. The different strands of the project which are formed to produce a study of the school of the 21st century will encourage an exchange of ideas and practice between the four different institutions. A centralised website will allow a discussion forum to take place throughout the project, designed to encourage communication between all levels of the different school communities, from students to senior leaders. A chronicle to be published twice during the project will highlight the areas which have formed the basis of the collaboration. It is expected that different institutions will acquire examples of good practice from the partnership which can be incorporated into their own school development. This will impact on all levels of the school community. Mobility will form an important part of the project, to include teacher exchanges, project meetings and headteacher conferences. All institutions will act as hosts during the project.
