Collection of information

When a school/project first registers as a user of Peda.net tools, contact persons are asked for e-mail addresses, postal addresses of the school/project and phone numbers. Names and e-mail addresses can be included in the user accounts in the applications, if the user wishes. Other personal details about users are not collected.

Using the collected information

Information is collected only to maintain normal customer relationships. It is used exclusively for contacting users or notifying them about Peda.net-related issues (e.g. problems that may arise). Such data is distributed through Peda.net mailing lists, personally subscribed to by the users

Information storage

All information is stored on a data base only accessible by people with authorised user names and passwords.

Giving information to third parties

No information is given to third parties except in the following cases:

Public authorities can be entitled to access, for example in the course of a criminal investigation.

Trainers and training organisers (e.g. continuing education centres) appointed by Peda.net can be given limited access to information relevant to training activities.

Cookies

Peda.net tools do not save permanent cookies to users’ computers. Session information can be stored on what are known as session cookies (only available until the browser is closed).

Statistics

Peda.net web servers collect usage statistics based on server logs. These statistics are employed only for monitoring the overall usage of Peda.net tools. They do not contain any user information.

Application logs

Some tools have an internal logging feature. These logs are viewable only by the administrators of the tools, expire automatically and cover only events of the last 30 days.
