Ne’hu niyu’tê káénutátye’ hösaayö’ héôwe thunöteka’tö ne’hu ökye waathénôti’ waë’ khu “Hau’ haknu’së nê káyë’ tesesnye tëhsë’nyaaë’ khu. niyu’tê - like. káénutátye’ - bundle attached going along. hösaayö’ - he arrived back. héôwe - where. thunöteka’tö - their fire. ökye - outside. waathénôti’ - he threw his bundle down. waë’ - he said. haknu’së - my uncle. nê - here. káyë’ - it is lying. tesesnye - you take care of it. tëhsë’nyaaë’ - you will put your hands to it.

189. “Hú niyáwë hêwôtë’” waë’ ne hunu’së “únë wai u’kaiwayéí thsisa’aa shô sha’tekösnye’ tasatutyëötye’ tyawë’ö tekösnye’ ne’ khu ne kötês. niyáwë - thank you. hêwôtë’ - nephew. waë’ - he said.ne hunu’së - his uncle. u’kaiwayéí - the matter was fulfilled. thsisa’aa - when you were small. sha’tekösnye’ - I took care of you (by contrast). tasatutyëötye’ - you were growing up. tyawë’ö - always. tekösnye’ - I was taking care of you. kötês - I was having pity on you.
